Anthropologie - Regent Street

Ohhh my, another reason to get rich. Anthropologie. Like Urban Outfitters for the more discerning (and yeah, more rich) I L-O-V-E this store. Three floors of eclectic, beautiful clothes, accessories and homewares and if that isn´t enough, check out the merchandising. Antique display units, chandeliers, dyed tea bag installations, a giant whale, alarm clocks and a bloody huge plant wall (with real plants, kept alive with excess rain water, nice). I bought one of the cheapest things in there just to somehow be a part of it. Can I just move myself in?

BTW sorry for shoddy images, they were taken off a compact. Oh man, if only I could get my DSLR bad boy round that place.

Eyes Wide Open

To celebrate the launch of the Sony Ericsson Satio on Vodaphone, acclaimed photographer Jillian Edelstein (who has photographed the likes of Woody Allen, Nelson Mandela etc etc) will be embarking on a project to capture images of 121 eyes in 12.1 hours. Members of the public can find out how they can win the chance to become a part of this by visiting the Eyes Wide Open website.

What a great collaboration; I feel that for many (for me, anyway), telecoms and technology can appear intimidating and overwhelming. Appealing to our creative sides seems to break through this somehow.

P-P-P-Pick up a Penguin

I have always loved Penguin's block colour covers and in fact, any Penguin cover- they are perfect examples of classic, timeless design. Reading an article in Grafik and seeing some of the above images prompted me to post and to declare to the world my love of Penguin

Fine Design for Hard Times

Seen in November's Grafik magazine- MacFadden & Thorpe are San Francisco based Graphic Designers, who quite simply, create bloody lovely publications and typography "for fun". I particularly love the circus-themed SOEX Bellwether poster (top)

Buttons - Portobello Market

What is it about buttons in mass numbers? They look so appealing and I stand there running my hands through them and wondering what clothes I have that need vintage glass buttons? (None). I need to start knitting...

Boat Times

I'm a bit late on this one, as they've been around for ages, but I love these ceramic boat-shaped serving bowls and lighthouse carafe from Sagaform. I just want everything at the moment, like a spoilt child. I'm blaming it on the cold weather (?!?)

Birdie

This little china bird-shaped box from Aram is so cute! I want it for my dressing table (I also want a dressing table)

The Duke of Wellington - Dalston

I'm not particularly patriotic, I dream of being Spanish, or Brasilian, or Japanese (or a mix of all three) and love love LOVE to travel... but if there's one thing I would be lost without, it's a good British pub.

Food for Thought

Preeeetttty fooooood! These eggs from Whole Foods (ahhhhh Whole Foods...) were actually a lovely mint green shade - which sadly doesn't show as I have white balance issues (and no Photoshop).

Meg's House

Whilst location hunting in Hackney earlier, my mate Meg (see first Street Style pic below) showed us around her gaff in Dalston. House envy! Unfortunately, there is no room for a little'un so I took photos instead.

BTW, I haven't got access to Photoshop at present (and don't want to spend extra hours at work using it) so my photos aren't getting the TLC they need (LEVELS!). But I'm keen to get all this on my blog asap so please forgive me...

Street Style - Broadway Market

A lack of sunshine but lots of great style today... and no nerves! Actually enjoyed it! It's time I stopped going on about nerves anyway, I'm well over it.
